Amy got an early start in church music. Beginning as a 7th grader and continuing through high school, Amy served as pianist at her home church. When Joyce Ramsey retired after 40 years as church pianist/organist at Hermitage Presbyterian Church, Amy took over the position. The Alley family have been members of HPC since the days when the congregation met in the old church on the Hermitage property.
Amy has music degrees from the University of Tennessee Martin and Peabody College Vanderbilt. Her passion is working with young children. Amy teaches music at the new model Pre-K centers in Metro Nashville Schools. In addition, she teaches Kindermusik and Music Education classes at Blair School of Music. She and Lew are the parents of three daughters. In her free time, she enjoys golf, bicycling, and being a grandmother to three grandchildren.
